The Ford Fiesta ST
What if I told you that you could have a car that’s practical for your daily grind but still puts a grin on your face every time you take the long way home? Enter the Ford Fiesta ST—a small car with a big personality.
Let me just start out by saying how much I love these little beasts. More than enough power, extremely good handling and a crisp gear change that makes my hand proud to be holding the knob!
When people think of fun daily drivers, they often picture expensive sports cars or over-the-top SUVs. But the Fiesta ST? It’s the unsung hero of affordable driving fun.
The ST is a gem, there’s no getting around that, but do you think the stigma these cars carry is really necessary, just because they’re SO popular?
Imagine sitting in a go kart, with a turbo, 180bhp, but is only a 1.6L? That’s almost unlimited fun, for almost no money! An extremely modifiable platform, too, with some running upwards of 250bhp!
Once you set off in your go kart, it takes no time at all to realise that this motor does it all - from belting down a twisty road to darting through traffic, you’ll not be let down by this peppy little thing.
Being on the smaller side of the hatchback class, it might not suit your family, but that’s why Ford made the Focus ST, no? Plenty of room for your things, and more than enough space for your zesty drinks inside.
The kicker? A brand new ST would have set you back a hair under £17,000 - a reasonable price, but now?
You can pick one of these speed machines up for as little as £4,500-£7,000 (depending on spec). That represents truly remarkable value for money and if you haven’t yet, PLEASE go and drive one… you WILL NOT look back!
Let me know what your thoughts are on the ST - McDonald’s car park warrior or a true petrolhead’s dream? Hit ‘reply’ and hit me with your thoughts!
From a Supra to a Fiesta, what will be next? Hopefully you’ve collected your gold star by now 👀⭐️
See ya tomorrow, 6am sharp!
Love,
Angus
